Bibliotecas provide immediate Open Access to their content, based on the principle of providing free and open research to the public to promote the global exchange of knowledge.
The journal and its entire team assumes and promotes the declarations of Budapest (2002), Berlin (2003) and Bethesda (2003).
The journal Bibliotecas is a publication hosted by a public higher education institution, which is supported by public resources. Since its inception, the magazine has offered all its contents free of charge without any restriction on the rights of: reading, downloading and printing in full text.
Likewise, authors are not charged for the submission of articles, nor are they charged for the processing of articles, nor for the entire process involved in publishing. The journal assumes the logistics for the peer review, covers the cost of the philological review and layout of the articles.
Bibliotecas are not for profit; therefore, they do not charge for publication nor do they remunerate authors, as each one gives the license to the journal to publish their works. Any author who submits an article for publication in this journal accepts this standard in the Letter of Commitment for Publication.
