A database with information on indigenous peoples

This document briefly describes the origin of the Project "Centro de Conocimiento sobre/de Grupos Étnicos Indígenas Centroamericanos" called "Proyecto GEIC". It explains its mission, objectives and the activities carried out in the first stage in Costa Rica. In addition, it explains the process of creation of the CEGE Database and presents some statistics elaborated with the information contained therein.
