The experience of the Miriam Álvarez Brenes Children's Library explains how the planning processes that must be carried out in order to formulate and create a community outreach project from this information unit are concretized. It situates some of the most relevant characteristics of the current society and of the different processes of project management. Afterwards, the work program is defined, as well as the area of desirable services that should exist in the library and the results obtained as a result of its implementation are mentioned.
