The pedagogical mediation in the use of communication technologies and information in the Children's Library Miriam Alvarez Brenes and Salitre Indigenous community

This articles proves the pedagogical mediation process in the use of ICT developed as a product of two extension projects of the School of Library, Documentation and Information, Miriam Alvarez called Children's Library Building Brenes and interdisciplinary spaces for service management information for native peoples and or Térraba Salitre.
The paper also presents how information and communication technologies have entered the world of information and the need that currently exists in which the inhabitants of peri-urban communities and indigenous people learn to use them. It also presents the objectives and content established in the training courses offered in both scenarios, methodology and resources used in each session activities, results and experiences in the educational process and the recommendations to further promote such activities in extension projects.
The methodology is developed through training sessions which used different teaching and technological resources. The contents of the sessions were using a multimedia projector and tool Power Point 2007, students applied the themes shown through practical exercises in which it was found that the foreground were understood by students. With this article you can understand how reality imposed on indigenous communities and peri to define the advantages and usefulness of incorporating ICT in their everyday lives.
