Work proposal and evaluation of the constructivist model "portfolio", used as a teaching-learning methodology in two of the most difficult courses for students of the School of Library, Documentation and Information: Information Storage and Retrieval 1 and Research Methodology. This methodology was implemented as a response to the need to develop a process that allows students to assimilate the contents of the courses according to their own experiences and conceptions, the methodology was evaluated to determine its effectiveness in the teaching learning process, this evaluation was carried out during the course of the semester and at the end of it, through a questionnaire, an evaluation workshop and the review of the portfolio prepared by the students, the proposal and the evaluation of the results is presented in this work as a successful experience that was affected by negative aspects, which can be improved.
