Serviços Académicos no Learning Commons das Bibliotecas Universitárias: Uma Resposta aos Requisitos Educacionais Actuais

Sem dúvida, a biblioteca é uma instituição orientada para os serviços, que também tem uma profunda dimensão social. Isto significa, entre muitas coisas, que existe uma relação entre a sociedade e a biblioteca. Devido a isto, o grupo social influencia a configuração do centro de informação e assim afecta cada um dos seus processos, incluindo os seus serviços. As bibliotecas universitárias participam neste tipo de dinâmicas e tiveram de se adaptar aos requisitos educacionais, dando lugar aos Learning Commons ou Ambientes de Aprendizagem que, por sua vez, geraram mudanças nos serviços que oferecem aos seus utilizadores. Face a esta situação, este artigo propõe o conceito de serviços académicos para apoiar o trabalho e a ligação das universidades, através da transversalidade, gradualidade, flexibilidade, inovação, dinamismo, trabalho de equipa, co-responsabilidade alargada e competências bibliotecárias.
