LA POLÍTICA DE VIVIENDA EN EL PERÍODO 2002-2005: OBJETIVOS, EVALUACIÓN Y RESULTADOS

La dotación de vivienda a los habitantes de un país es uno de los principales medios por los cuales los gobernantes tratan de mejorar el bienestar social. Por medio de ello se garantiza a los ciudadanos una vida más digna y segura, a la vez que se crean encadenamientos sociales y productivos que mejoran, directa e indirectamente, el bienestar general de la sociedad. Dentro de los
encadenamientos sociales se puede nombrar: mayor belleza urbana, disminución de robo y delincuencia, disminución de personas desahuciadas, entre otros. Por ejemplo, el hecho de poseer casa propia y en condiciones dignas, abre un gran número de posibilidades y portunidades a las personas, pudiendo con ello optar por mejores puestos de trabajo.
