CONTEXTOS DIFERENTES REALIDADES PRÓXIMAS: OS CASOS DE LA FORESTAL (NORTE ARGENTINO) E DA LUMBER (SUL BRASILEIRO)

A expansão da divisão internacional do trabalho nos séculos XIX e XX advindos dos interesses do centro do sistema capitalista fez aprofundar, no caso da América Latina, os interesses de grandes capitais. Pela pujança econômica e forte processo de exploração, destacamos os casos da empresa inglesa The Forestal Land, Timber and Railways Company Limited (La Forestal) e a empresa estadunidense Southern Brazil Lumber and Colonization (Lumber) pertencente ao Grupo Farquhar, objetivando-se analisar comparativamente suas dinâmicas econômicas e o que provocaram à sociedade, economia e natureza local/regional. Das dinâmicas regionais imprimidas por essas empresas resultou grande exploração e conflitos, gerando movimentos de trabalhadores, no caso das províncias do norte argentino, e, no caso do sul brasileiro, servindo como um dos estopins da Guerra do Contestado, ocorrida em espaços dos atuais territórios dos estados de Santa Catarina e Paraná.
