Abstract

Este trabalho foca o problema da dimensão geográfica da política e se insere na corrente que incorpora a democracia à agenda da geografia. O seu objetivo é duplo: examinar a democracia como problema conceitual e como modelo institucional importante para a geografia política e, a partir da territorialidade das instituições políticas brasileiras, apresentar algumas das características e possibilidades do processo de consolidação da democracia em países periféricos, marcados por profundas desigualdades sociais e territoriais.

Proposed policy for journals offering Open Access

Authors publishing their works in the Journal acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
