This case study analyzes from a geographical perspective the spatial distribution of facilities and tourist sites in Monteria, a city located in northern Colombia on the banks of the Sinu River. This academic exercise is based on the recognition of spatial regularities by distribution patterns and areas of influence through the application of spatial analysis techniques such as Thiessen polygons, beginning with the identification of the active resources of the territory, which become potentials for tourism development, an emerging activity in this urban center.
