Throughout this process,  we are in continuous communication with the author.

Once the review is complete, the authors will be notified of the reviewer's decision, according to the following options: accepted, accepted with minor changes, accepted with major changes that require a complete and exhaustive review, or rejected.

The final publication decision is made by the Editor, considering the result of the peer review. After this, the author is notified, who will be responsible for making the changes and evaluating the observations issued by the reviewers.

About us

The Journal of Economic Policy and Sustainable Development seeks to become a means of academic dissemination on issues of economic policy and sustainable development for Latin America and the Caribbean. Institutionally, it is published by the International Center for Economic Policy for Sustainable Development of the National University.

Journal history

The International Center for Economic Policy for Sustainable Development (CINPE), since its foundation on May 2, 1995 - and previously with the Master in Economic Policy - has opted to institutionalize internal mechanisms to promote the knowledge dissemination process.

In terms of dissemination and periodic publications, the history of CINPE is marked by three milestones: 1) the Economic Policy Notebooks; 2) Workbooks; and 3) The Bridges Journal "between trade and sustainable development".

In 1991, the Economic Policy Notebooks were born as a necessity of the then Master's Program in Economic Policy. Although the mechanisms to disseminate research in Economic Policy were discussed for years, it was not until that year that these notebooks were published. A total of nine workbooks were published between 1991 and 1992. It was in 2000 that the spirit of these first documents was retaken with the so-called "Workbooks", today "Economic Policy Notebooks", which are published regularly.

Finally, Bridges Journal, produced from 2003 to 2013 by CINPE, in conjunction with the International Center for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD), based in Geneva, Switzerland, was the third antecedent that gives way to our Journal of Economic policy.
