Abstract

This paper concerns Erasmus’ Praise of Folly, because it was conceived five hundred years ago. This paper reflects on Erasmus’ humanistic approach to textual productions and realities, erasmian Bible humanism and Erasmus’ philosophy of Christ. Additionally, it refers to erasmian indefectible animadversion against scholastic philosophy and theology, manifest in the short book finally edited in 1511.
