Influência de xenobióticos na luminescência de cepas de Vibrio harveyi isoladas das águas marinhas cubanas

Resumen

Os testes de toxicidade usando bactérias luminescentes são ferramentas promissoras para avaliar a qualidade dos ambientes aquáticos, devido à sua alta sensibilidade aos poluentes. Nesta pesquisa, o efeito de xenobióticos de diferentes naturezas: sais de mercúrio, cobre, cromo, prata, ferro e quatro pesticidas, sobre a luminescência de cepas de Vibrio harveyi CBM-784, CBM-976 e CBM-992, isoladas das águas da plataforma cubana. As cepas selecionadas mostraram uma redução da emissão de luminescência após 15 minutos de exposição aos compostos testados com uma sequência decrescente de toxicidade, consistente para as três cepas da seguinte forma: HgCl2 > CuSO4 ≈ Cuproflow > K2Cr2O7 > Sphere Max ≈ Kospi-sc 130 > AgNO3 > Fe2(SO4)3 > Envidor. Os resultados sugerem que essas culturas poderiam ser usadas para o projeto de um biossensor de contaminação, já que a luminescência responde a concentrações nanomolares dos tóxicos testados.
