Caracterização de bactérias cultiváveis isoladas de recifais mesofóticos de Cuba

Resumo

As comunidades bacterianas de recifais mesofóticos constituem informações genéticas de interesse devido às particulares condições de temperatura, pressão, salinidade e disponibilidade de matéria orgânica e nutrientes em que se desenvolvem. O trabalho presente teve como objetivo avaliar a diversidade bacteriana nas águas limítrofes dos recifes mesofóticos de Cuba em maio-junho de 2017; assim como algumas de suas potencialidades biotecnológicas. Os cultivos foram isolados em meio ágar marinho, em dois níveis da coluna de água, em 10 pontos de amostragens. Posteriormente, foram avaliadas as capacidades metabólicas dos isolados com relação à assimilação de diferentes fontes de carbono e a produção de metabolitos bioativos. Os resultados permitiram a caracterização de 30 isolados bacterianos de águas do nível subsuperficial e 32 de águas profundas. A maior porcentagem corresponde a bacilos esporulados Gram-positivos e bacilos Gram-negativos. Igualmente, ficou evidente que 85,5% degradam carboidratos de diferente natureza e 96,8% produzem enzimas hidrolíticas com atividade caseinase, gelatinase, lipase ou amilase. A capacidade de degradar petróleo e compostos fenólicos indistintamente foi detectada em 61,3% dos isolados. Entre as potencialidades de interesse biomédico e industrial foi detectada atividade tensoativa e asparaginase em 53% e 32% dos cultivos, respectivamente. Por sua vez, a caracterização taxonômica de 40 cultivos selecionados por suas potencialidades metabólicas demonstrou que o gênero Bacillus apresentou maior atividade biológica. Esses resultados constituem a primeira proximidade à caracterização da diversidade bacteriana em pontos de recifes mesofóticos de Cuba.
