Presença de Munidopsis bermudezi no mar Caribe colombiano (Crustacea: Anomura: Munidopsidae)

Durante o desenvolvimento do projeto “Caracterização ambiental na área de interesse dentro do bloco Guajira Offshore # 3, Caribe colombiano”, foram recolhidos exemplares de Munidopsis bermudezi Chace, 1939. Este é o primeiro registro da espécie no mar Caribe colombiano, sendo esta a espécie 46 da superfamília Galatheoidea registrada nesta região. É uma das espécies próximas a Munidopsis teretis Baba, 2005, do mar da Tasmânia. Ela se diferencia pela presença de um par de espinhas gástricas conspícuas, a ausência de um processo agudo na região branquial e a ausência de uma carena na metade posterior da carapaça. Apresenta-se a descrição ampliada da espécie e a informação sobre seu hábitat.
