Abstract

The non-European International Systems is a review of the book “History of International Relations: A Non-European Perspective published by Open Book Publishers. This book aims to make a comparative study of the international systems that existed before the European one, in specific the cases of China and East Asia, India, the Muslim caliphates, the Mongol khanates, and the Americas from a historic perspective. The book criticizes the lack of detail in the history of International Relations since it has been focused on European imperialism, which is not enough to explain our current world.
