Abstract

The governments of the Republics of CostaRica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras andNicaragua agreed to fully assume the historicalchallenge of forging a peace destinationfor Central America, commit to fight forpeace, eradicate war, asserting the dialogueon violence and dedicate to the youth of CentralAmerica these peace efforts and put theCentral American Parliament as a symbol offreedom and independence to which CentralAmerica aspire, all this through a dialoguefrom the peace plan presented by Costa RicanGovernment.

Oscar Arias Sanchez

Oscar Arias Sánchez (1940). Político de profesión, obtuvo suDoctorado en Derecho. Fue Presidente de la República de Costa Rica (1986),Ministro de Planificación Nacional y Política Económica (1970) y Diputado en laAsamblea Legislativa (1978). En 1987 se le otorga el Premio Nobel de la Paz.
