Abstract

As a way to face the crisis that has affectedthe area of Central America for nearly a decade,the five presidents of the isthmus metin Guatemala City on August 7, 1983 for theestablishment of peace in Central America.Therefore, this article will analyze the characteristicsof the agreed process in Guatemalaand Central America’s relations with the internationalcommunity.

Luis Guillermo Solís Rivera

Luis Guillermo Solís Rivera (1958). Es politólogo, historiador, académicoy obtuvo una maestría en Estudios Latinoamericanos con énfasis en Historia yCiencias Políticas. Fue electo Presidente de la República de Costa Rica (2014), fue eldirector general de Política Exterior del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y Culto(1996-1990) y funcionario del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores (1986-1990).
