Abstract

The speech proposes that significant contributions to the construction of coexistence and the achievement of a culture of peace may be given through religious education. It highlights the change that must be made in the theological and religious language used in current discourse, to be able to establish possible dialogues between persons from different religious and cultural backgrounds. The symbolic dimension of religious language plays a critical role in how people relate to one another and build community. In addition, this dimension has an important influence in intercultural dialogues and conflicts.
