Abstract

In the course of my experience in working with communities, with artists, with teachers in training for art education, with children and young people and populations that are vulnerable or at risk of violence, with art students, being my participation as a teacher and as an performer on stage, I have perceived that the  success of initiatives, mostly of an independent nature, lies largely in the vision of local development in the region, whatever its geographical location Considering such development as an integral and dynamic unit, where the participation of each of its social components has been essential not only to give life and identity to its peoples and inhabitants but also to the success of many of the projects undertaken, I focus the present essay on this relationship between art and community, as a proposal of vital cohesion.
