HISTOLOGIA E HISTOQUIMICA DEL DUODENO DE TEPEZCUINTLE (CUNICULUS PACA)

Fue estudiado el duodeno de cinco tepezcuintles (Cuniculus paca), su estructura histológica y las reacciones histoquímicas de las glándulas de Brunner y de las células caliciformes.
La mucosa posee: epitelio cilíndrico simple con células caliciformes y lámina propia con las criptas de Lieberkhün. En la submucosa se encuentran las glándulas de Brunner de tipo mucoso, túbulo-alueolares, las cuales desembocan en el
fondo de las criptas de Lieberkhün. La túnica muscular está formada por una capa interna circular y otra externa longitudinal. Externamente el duodeno está cubierto por serosa.
El estudio histoquímico indica que las células caliciformes y las glándulas de Brunner elaboran un mucopolisacárido neutral.
