Fue descrito un caso de osteofitos vertebrales en un toro de monta. La mayoría de los osteofitos eran de cuarto grado, es decir, unión completa entre las vértebras adyacentes. El autor atribuye este grado severo del fenómeno a la posición erecta del toro, durante los repetidos saltos, además a la avanzada edad.
