Se discuten varias causas comunes de trauma en la espalda toracolumbar equina. Algunas patologías locales que afectan los procesos espinosos dorsales vertebrales y problemas relacionados con la montura, todo como fuente de dolor, razón por la cual los autores consideran que este debe abordarse desde la perspectiva de Bienestar Animal.
